SKINTIFIC respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data when you visit skintific.my, shop through the Malaysia market or contact us.

2. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • name, email address, billing and delivery addresses, account details and communication preferences;
  • products ordered, order history, payment status, transaction identifiers, refunds and delivery information;
  • customer service messages, return requests, evidence submitted for a claim, reviews and other information you provide;
  • IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring links, approximate location and cookie identifiers; and
  • marketing subscriptions, preferences and campaign interactions.

Payment card details are processed by authorised payment providers and are not stored by us in full.

We collect personal data directly from you, automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and from service providers such as Shopify, payment providers, delivery partners, fraud-prevention providers, analytics providers and advertising partners.

We use personal data to operate the store; process payments and orders; arrange delivery, returns, replacements and refunds; provide customer support; maintain accounts; prevent fraud; improve our products and services; send marketing where permitted; comply with legal obligations; and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

4. Cookies and marketing

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, understand performance, prevent fraud and, where permitted, personalise advertising. You can control non-essential cookies through the cookie settings available on the store or through your browser. Disabling some cookies may affect store functions.

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in the message. We may still send service messages relating to your account or an order.

5. How we disclose personal data

We may disclose personal data as reasonably necessary to Shopify; payment and fraud-prevention providers; warehouses, couriers and logistics providers; customer support, technology, analytics and marketing providers; professional advisers and authorities; affiliated companies; or a buyer or successor in connection with a business reorganisation. We do not sell personal data for money.

Because the store is operated by a Hong Kong company and uses international service providers, personal data may be processed in Hong Kong, Malaysia and other countries where Shopify or our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure that international transfers receive appropriate protection and are permitted by applicable law.

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil orders, maintain transaction and tax records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required.

Subject to applicable law, including Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you may ask to access or correct your personal data, withdraw consent, limit certain processing, object to direct marketing, or ask questions about how your personal data is handled. Some requests may be limited where information must be retained to fulfil an order, comply with law, prevent fraud or establish legal claims.

Our store is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent.
